Prerequisites

  • Root or sudo access on the target system
  • shadow-utils package (provides useradd, usermod, etc.) -- installed by default
  • libpam-modules for PAM configuration
  • For LDAP: sssd, realmd, libpam-ldapd, or nslcd packages
  • For auditing: auditd package

User Operations

Creating Users

Troubleshooting
